چکیده

Let Rn = max0≤j≤n Sj − Sn be a random walk Sn reflected in its maximum. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for finiteness of passage times of Rn above horizontal or certain curved (power law) boundaries. Necessary and sufficient conditions are also given for the finiteness of the expected passage time of Rn above linear and square root boundaries. 2000 MSC Subject Classifications: primary: 60J15, 60F15, 60K05, 60G40 secondary: 60F05, 60G42

Curve Crossing for the Reflected Lévy Process at zero and infinity

Let Rt = sup0≤s≤t Xs − Xt be a Lévy process reflected in its maximum. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for finiteness of passage times above power law boundaries at infinity. Information as to when the expected passage time for Rt is finite, is given. We also discuss the almost sure finiteness of lim sup t→0 Rt/t , for each κ ≥ 0.

مقایسه روش‌های تحلیلی تجزیه امواج به منظور محاسبه ضریب انعکاس موج

Calculation of the reflected waves against obstacles is a prominent step in designing coastal structures. In addition, a complex process occurs during wave collision with beaches or breakwaters. These processes cause wave characteristics to be (energy dissipation, reflected wave, etc.). The new wave characteristics are dependent on reflected wave height straightly which are not measureable. In ...

Dissociative energy flow, vibrational energy redistribution, and conformeric structural dynamics in bifunctional amine model systems.

Time-resolved multiphoton ionization mass spectrometry coupled with Rydberg Fingerprint Spectroscopy (RFS) has been used to analyze the structural and electronic dynamics of N,N-dimethylphenethylamine (PENNA) and N,N-dimethylcyclohexethylamine (CENNA). In PENNA, the molecule converts from 3p to 3s on a time scale of 149 fs, a process that is reflected in the mass spectrum as the onset of fragme...

Competition between energy and phase relaxation in electronic curve crossing processes

We present results from simulations of vibrational energy and phase relaxation and electronic curve crossing using a multilevel formulation of Redfield theory, which demonstrate the shortcomings of the optical Bloch approximation and the importance of coherence transfer processes in the relaxation dynamics of multilevel systems. Specifically, we show that for a harmonic well, energy relaxation ...
